Homestay with American Family
CCLA offers accommodation in homestay on a year-round basis. Homestay offers international students the opportunity to live in a family style environment and to practice language skills daily. At CCLA, we welcome students from all cultures and languages. We want to make each student's stay as rewarding and comfortable as possible. We pay close attention to the needs and goals of our students by offering a friendly and caring environment where getting to know each student is essential. If requested, we will greet you at the airport and introduce you to your host family.
Students who choose the homestay program will have the opportunity to experience an additional dimension to language learning; that is, they will acquire valuable knowledge about everyday aspects of life, leisure, and culture in a modern American city. They will also be able to make practical use of their growing language skills, by reinforcing fluency and broadening vocabulary. They may also accompany the family on outings, have a chance to meet local people and see many places they might not have ventured to otherwise. Homestay also provides an important source of support and continuity for the student.
Apartments
Apartments can be arranged by special request. Apartments are only available on a shared basis, but you will have your own room.
Dormitories
Student dormitories are available from September until June. They are closed in the summer. These dormitories house students of local colleges and universities.
